Stuttgart Stadium: History and Tickets
Stuttgart Stadium is an important sporting venue in southern Germany. Located in the Bad Cannstatt district, it is primarily used for football matches. It also hosts concerts and other live events.
History and Key Facts
The stadium opened in 1933 and was designed by German architect Paul Bonatz. Over the following decades, it underwent several renovations and redevelopment projects. Major reconstruction work between 2009 and 2011 adapted the venue primarily for football.
The stadium currently accommodates 60,058 spectators for domestic competitions, while international competitions use a configuration with 54,272 seats. The pitch has natural grass, and the roof covers a large part of the stands. The main stand was rebuilt in 2024, and the LED screens were replaced in 2026 to improve the viewing experience.
Stands and Facilities
The venue includes a main stand, an opposite stand and two end stands behind the goals. Seating arrangements depend on the section and the event setup. Other sports facilities and event spaces are located nearby.
Event Tickets
Before buying tickets for a match, concert or other event, check availability, prices, seating sections and sales conditions. Details may vary depending on the event. Use reliable sources and read the ticket information carefully to choose seats that suit your needs.
