European Super Cup

The European Super Cup is a prestigious match between the winners of the Champions League and the Europa League. In a single match, the teams compete for an international trophy and the chance to start the new season with a victory.

History of the European Super Cup

The competition has delivered many memorable moments for football fans over the years. Each final brings together clubs that have won Europe's two leading club competitions. The match takes place at a neutral venue, with different cities hosting successive editions. If the score is level at the end of normal time, the winner is decided by a penalty shootout.

Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Liverpool and Atlético Madrid are among the clubs that have made their mark on the competition. Some finals have been closely contested and decided only after extra time or penalties.
