Bryan Adams is one of Canada’s most recognizable singers, songwriters and music producers. His distinctive voice and combination of rock sound with emotional ballads have made his music popular around the world for decades. One of Adams’ biggest hits is “Heaven”, which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. Other songs that reached the top of the chart include “All for Love”, recorded with Rod Stewart and Sting, and “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?”. Adams also achieved great success with film music. His song “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You”, written for the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, became a worldwide hit and earned him a Grammy Award in 1992 for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television. In total, the artist has received 16 Grammy nominations. Interestingly, his work is not limited to rock and pop. Adams also worked on the soundtrack for the 2002 animated film “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron”. Together with his longtime collaborator Jim Vallance, he also created the music and lyrics for the Broadway musical “Pretty Woman: The Musical”, showing that his talent extends beyond popular music. Bryan Adams also has a second passion that many fans may know less about – photography. He has worked professionally as a photographer for years and has created photo sessions for well-known magazines and brands. Today, Bryan Adams remains an active artist, performing around the world. Although for many listeners he will always be the voice behind “Heaven”, his career shows that there is a much more interesting story behind one great hit.
