Metallica is not slowing down. The band has extended the M72 World Tour with more concerts in 2027, this time focusing on North America. 12 new stadium shows have been added to the schedule for May and June. For fans, however, the most important date is coming much sooner, general ticket sales begin on September 25, 2026.
The new concerts are another chapter of the tour that began several years earlier. In 2027, Metallica will visit Vancouver, San Diego, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Cleveland and other cities. Limp Bizkit and Avatar will join the band at all of the newly announced shows.
Metallica 2027, when do tickets go on sale?
General ticket sales for Metallica’s new 2027 concerts will begin on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. This means the exact start time depends on the city where each concert takes place.
Some fans will have an opportunity to buy tickets earlier. Presale for members of the official fan club begins on September 21. Different membership groups will receive access at different times, and an individual code will be required to make a purchase.
General sales are subject to a limit of up to six standard tickets per person in each city. Some special ticket options have lower limits, so it is worth checking the rules for the specific concert before sales begin.
Metallica 2027, where will the new concerts take place?
The new leg of the tour will begin on May 8, 2027, in Vancouver. The band will then travel across the United States, with the final currently announced show taking place on June 19 in Salt Lake City.
The new concert dates are:
- May 8, 2027, Vancouver, Canada
- May 13, 2027, San Diego, California
- May 18, 2027, El Paso, Texas

- June 19, 2027, Salt Lake City, Utah
Unlike some earlier stages of the M72 World Tour, when the band played two concerts in one city with different setlists, the new North American stops will consist of single shows.
Metallica in Las Vegas in 2027. These concerts are already sold out
The newly announced stadium dates are not Metallica’s only concerts planned for 2027. Earlier in the year, the band will also perform in Las Vegas.
A series of shows is scheduled for January, February and March. The calendar includes January 28 and 30, February 4 and 6, February 18 and 20, February 25 and 27, March 4 and 6, and March 11 and 13, 2027. Standard tickets for these concerts are currently marked as sold out.
For fans who were unable to secure tickets for Las Vegas, the new stadium dates provide another opportunity to see the band live later in the year.
How to buy tickets for Metallica concerts in 2027?
The best starting point is the band’s official tour calendar, where updated sales information is available for each date. General sales for the newly announced stadium shows begin on September 25 at 10:00 a.m. local time.
It is worth choosing a specific concert in advance and checking the local sale time. For events of this scale, the most popular seating areas may attract huge interest within the first few minutes.
If tickets for a selected concert disappear from the official sale, availability can still change later. Some fans cancel their plans, change travel dates or eventually become unable to attend.
Tickets may also appear on TixPost, where users can list tickets they can no longer use and other fans can search for available seats. Before buying, always check the exact concert date, venue, section and whether the ticket can legally be transferred.
Can Metallica 2027 tickets be resold?
Whether a ticket can be transferred or resold depends on its type and the rules applying to the specific concert. For many standard digital tickets, transfer is expected to become available closer to the event date.
However, not every ticket works this way. Some special packages are non transferable, so it is important to read the conditions before purchasing a more expensive or extended option.
Most standard tickets are expected to be mobile tickets. In some cases, the option to display or download them may only become available closer to the concert date.
Who will perform with Metallica in 2027?
At all 12 newly announced North American shows, fans will also see Limp Bizkit and Avatar.
For Metallica, 2027 will mark another year of the exceptionally long M72 tour. The band launched it back in 2023, and subsequent announcements have repeatedly extended its run. The current schedule reaches June 2027.
For fans, the next key date is therefore September 25, 2026. That is when tickets for the 12 new concerts enter general sale.
